In the Borough and District Council elections on 3rd May 2007 Conservatives swept back to power in Charnwood. Three more Conservative councillors were elected from the Charnwood consituency area to bring the total to 17. On the Council as a whole Conservatives have a comfortable majority with 32 out of the 52 seats.
The next election may be a General Election. Elections to the County Council are scheduled for May 2009. Anyone who supports our mission who wants to help at elections is invited to contact us. You can help by offering to deliver leaflets in your area whether it just be the street where you live, your ward or division etc. All help is much needed and gratefully received.
